Breaking News: North Carolina Woman Dies in Head-On Collision on NC-87 in Graham
April 12 , 2024Graham, North Carolina — April 11, 2024 — According to WXII12, North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to a crash at 6:43 am along NC-87 near Boy Wood Road.
According to troopers, the driver of a Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on NC-87 when it traveled left of center and struck a Chevrolet Malibu, heading northbound, head-on.
Both drivers of both vehicles suffered serious injuries and were transported to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
The passenger of the Hyundai Elantra, Jordan Casey Watts-Wilson, 38, of Burlington, suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was transported to Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The collision is still under investigation.
