Breaking News: Mount Olive Butterball Facility Contractor Dies in Workplace Accident
March 22 , 2024Mount Olive, North Carolina – February 22, 2024 – According to Watt Poultry, a contractor doing work at a Butterball facility died as a result of a workplace accident.
The company issued the following statement concerning the incident: “On Thursday, February 22, 2024, an external contractor’s employee working on a project at Butterball’s Mount Olive, North Carolina, facility passed away from injuries sustained during a tragic incident. We are deeply saddened, and we extend our sincere condolences to their family and friends. We will continue to coordinate closely with the relevant authorities as the investigation remains ongoing.”
The name of the deceased has not yet been released, and the North Carolina Department of Labor is investigating the incident.
