21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Greensboro Intersection Collision on West Friendly Avenue
April 11, 2026Greensboro, North Carolina — April 10, 2026 — According to ABC 45 News, a 21-year-old man lost his life following a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV at a well-traveled intersection.
Officers with the Greensboro Police Department were dispatched to a reported crash with injuries at the intersection of West Friendly Avenue and King George Drive.
Investigators say the motorcyclist, identified as Paul Chambers III, was traveling westbound on West Friendly Avenue on a Kawasaki motorcycle. At the same time, a Hyundai Santa Fe heading east attempted to turn left onto King George Drive. As the SUV entered the intersection, it crossed into the motorcycle’s path, resulting in a collision.
Chambers suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that his family has been notified.
The driver of the Hyundai was transported to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.
Police indicated that speed may have played a role in the crash. The department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate, and further details have not yet been released.
