Matthew Lockwood, 30, of Winston-Salem, was a U.S. Marine veteran and Eagle Scout known for his adventurous spirit. His sister described him as someone who “wanted to do some good” and found joy in the outdoors.

Madison Carter, 32, from Sandy Ridge, was a husband and father of two. In a family statement, he was remembered as “an incredible man” with a heart “larger than life.” His cousin was also critically injured in the crash.

Douglas Sides, 72, of Summerfield, was described by his son as his “best friend” and a shining presence in the community. A retired coworker said Sides was a skilled lineman and a beloved team member.

William Evans, 35, from Randleman, was engaged and loved by many. His obituary remembered him for his purpose-driven work and larger-than-life spirit.

As tributes grow at the crash site, families continue to grieve. In remembrance, Carolina Power raised an American flag on bucket trucks, while community members and state leaders expressed their condolences. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
